This is the most common and versatile size of zabumba.  Great for all styles of northeastern Brazilian Music such as xote, baioa, xaxado, forró.
The Zabumba is often used along with the
triangle
to play rhythms from the North East of Brazil
This drum is played with a padded mallet on the top head and  a thin stick made from nylon or bamboo – on the bottom head.
