VTG Animal Skin Drum Hand Crafted JUTE Deer Fur ?African Tribal ?Native American

This is a beautifully hand-crafted animal skin and jute/sisal root? drum.
Unknown age and origin.
The lower fur appears to be deer skin, the top is covered with a hide with fur (black) but I have no idea what kind it is?
5 1/2" tall.
4 1/4" top diameter.
2 1/2" bottom diameter.
Some minor loss of fur on bottom rim.
Beautiful condition!
?Jute on the sides?
I purchased this at an antique store that was going out of business. They had this labeled as Native American and had it with a bunch of other Native American artifacts, but I have no knowledge of anything else.
