One of Westeros’ proudest families, the Lannisters lacked a Valyrian Steel sword of their own until Tywin Lannister cast the Stark Ice family sword to make two new swords. The smaller of the two was given to King Joffrey as a gift for his wedding to Margaery Tyrell and was called Widow’s Wail. Joffrey owned Widow’s Wail just enough time to name him when he died from drinking poisoned wine the same day. The sword remained unused until it was then taken over by Jaime Lannister.
