Although Prince Oberyn Martell only appeared in a single season of the TV show, he definitely left a lasting impression on the audience for Game of Thrones®. Younger brother of Doran Martell, ruler of Dorne, Oberyn was commonly known as The Red Viper because of his knowledge of the poisons and his fierce, unpredictable, often lethal fighting style.
