Sterling Victorian Style Repouse Photo Picture Frame John Bull Ltd 1991 8.5"x7"

So this was fun to uncover.  When we first picked this up at a recent estate sale, we assumed it was actually Victorian era but it wasn't musty or had rips or threads, dings, dents etc.  After working our way through the hallmarks we uncovered the following:  It was NOT made in the late 1800s - early 1900s.  It was made in 1991 by a company that still exists today called John Bull Ltd in London.  The 'R" in the hallmarks indicates 1991.  The lion indicates sterling purity mark for England and the cat is the London assay office.  See photos.
The frame itself is 8.5 inches wide and 7 inches tall.  It does fit a photo that would be 5.5 inches by 4 inches.  A slightly cut down 4 x 6 would work perfectly.
There are no personalizations or inscriptions so you can make it your own if you wish.  If you like the old style look, here it is without the musty smell that normally comes with the age of those items.
