    Welcome to
    Antiques & Moore!
This listing is for a nice Sterling Silver tea infuser with a ball shape with four engraved paneled sides and flip top for filling. Side panels are pierced with an decorative engraved background. The round ball has a hinged top that opens the ball for filling and has a chain attached to a finger ring. The hinge is tight and the ball opens and closes correctly with a catch that keeps the ball closed. Marked with the trademark stamp of the Simmons Brothers and "Sterling, 2050, D" on bottom of ball. The Simmons Bros. began business in Philadelphia PA in 1840.
Measures 1 1/2" in diameter.  Weighs 20 grams.
This lovely tea infuser is in very good Estate condition with the only noted flaw being a small dent on the rounded surface on the side of the ball.
