    Description

Awaiting your purchase is a rare turn of the century sterling silver and red enameled copper cigar lighter with antler handle made by the
    New York City
    silversmith
    Shubael Cottle, 1887–1917.
This unusual item comprises a red enamel sphere with silver base and top that acts as a holder for the wick (still inside!) and a as a reservoir for fuel, which is connected to the antler handle via a silver gimbal that allows the lighter to remain in an upright position whatever the angle of the handle. This sophisticated item remains in
good to very good antique condition
with age-appropriate wear (see condition description for exceptions) and bears
    no monogram.
Perfect for your billiards room, but don't get it confused with ball #7!
