Prussian officer's sabre with steel sheathPrussian officer's sabre with steel sheath
Nice reproduction at the good price of a 19th-century Prussian light cavalry officer’s saber, also known as a lion’s head saber due to the particular shape of its knob.
The slightly curved, unphiled blade is hand-forged with premium, high-carbon steel. The blunt edge is approximately 1 mm thick and the full blade nipple is bolted to the knob.
The handle consists of a handle with knob and a combination of fenders and knuckles. The knob is shaped like a lion’s head. The simple starboard-shaped knuckle arch coming out of the lion’s mouth flows smoothly into a straight, tear-shaped terminal down. The core of the handle is made of wood and wrapped in leather and brass wire. The bow, the lion-headed cap and the guard are made of brass.
The cavalry saber is delivered with a steel sheet sheath to match two transport bands and articulated transport rings.
This Prussian saber with lion’s head knob is not a battle-ready weapon, but a very decorative collector’s item. And in addition to its quality as a collectible, it also adapts perfectly as an accessory, among others. for theatrical performances.
