Parazonium was actually an early Roman dagger, or sometimes a short sword, that originated in ancient Greece. It was predominantly carried by high-ranking officers of the Roman legions as an auxiliary weapon of his sword (gladius). It’s a precursor to pugio.
Its sharp leaf-shaped blade is a typical feature.
Our reproduction has an un sharp blade forged in high carbon steel. Its handle with an eagle-headed knob is carved in genuine animal bone.
The delivery includes a wooden sheath lined in leather to match brass accessories.
