It has quite a long range of 300 ft that allows you to monitor the meat temperature conveniently within that range. So, whether you are inside your home or in the lawn, you have full control over the BBQ temperature. However, in case you go out of the range for more than 1 minute then an alert sound is produced that indicates loss of signal.
