In the year 871 d. C., the young Prince Alfred, known as Alfred the Great, bravely led king Etelredo’s army from Wessex in a glorious victory against a large invading Danish army. This sword represents the main weapon used in this crucial battle.
Windlass Steelcrafts gunsmiths have forged this high-carbon steel sword. It has a sheet with extra wide channel. The guard is luxuriously decorated with embossed Viking knot work. Both the knob and the guard, have darkened to obtain a forged finish. The knob is covered in soft leather with a worn finish.
It comes equipped with an elegant leather sheath, with matching belt and metal finish decorated at the toe.
