Marto - WAKIZASHI IMMORTALMarto - WAKIZASHI IMMORTAL
The wakizashi, also known as the, is a traditional Japanese short saber. Its shape is similar to that of katana, although the edge is generally thinner. Samurai warriors often carried both with them, collectively calling them daish, literally ‘the long and the short’.
The wakizashi was originally used as a defense weapon for the samurai, when it did not have the katana. Being shorter and more manageable, it was better suited for enclosed defense.

Wakizashi Immortal from the Exclusive Collection of «Oriental Weapons» manufactured by Marto.
Certificate of origin and quality, made in Toledo.
When you hold a hammer-forged Shikoto Master Longquan sword in your hand, you’re holding the same weapon that a warrior used more than 2500 years ago. Using methods used by Bronze Age blacksmiths, the 1060 high carbon steel blade has been hammer-forged and tempered with clay to produce a visible hamon line. Differential hardening gives this magnificent sword a harder edge and a softer column, which is the hallmark of a high-quality weapon. The tsuba and handle accessories are made of solid brass and the wooden handle has a traditional drawstring wrapped on a genuine tea-stained ray skin.
A black-polished, lacquered wood sheath with drawstring wrap houses the blade. Also included with the Shikoto Longquan Master Teal Wakizashi is a certificate of authenticity with forge specifications, signed by the master blacksmith who produced the sheet.
