Katana Honshu Boshin HellFyre DamascusKatana Honshu Boshin HellFyre Damascus
An ancient Japanese legend, reincarnated in the 21st century. Countless innovations produce a distinctly modern katana.
A modern legend, the Katana Honshu Boshin HellFyre Damascus fuses proven and consecrated tradition with the best of 21st century innovation.
Elegant contemporary style and avant-garde details blend seamlessly with classic form and traditional craftsmanship.
Even Damascus steel, a distinctive hand-forged variety with centuries-old roots, is reinvented and reworked for a new and exciting look.
Sword worthy of display that refuses to be delegated to an exhibition stand The Boshin demands action in the real world
Swapping delicate and traditional ornaments such as striped leather and lace with sturdy, ultra-modern materials like TPR, the Boshin is designed for serious use in the real world.
It is very well balanced and is a pleasure to handle, and has a wild cutting power that is second to none.
The imposing wakizashi leaf is rock solid and incredibly sharp, cutting cleanly through rolled tatami mats, thick bamboo and other tenacious materials, without suffering cracks or cracks in the process.
Impressive, frankly bewitching and truly unique, the beauty of the leaf is as sharp as the carefully sharp edge.
It crosses the depths of imagination, opening it to wonderful new metallurgical possibilities, while cutting off all preconceived notions of what makes Damascus steel the «steel of Damascus.»
A torrent of patterns and colors The ancient technique of forging by hand produces a leaf of spectacular beauty As dragged by an invisible current, thousands of different and contrasting lines twist, twist, wave and rotate through the surface of the elegant leaf both the Boshin. Each line represents a distinct layer of steel, one of the multiple unique alloys with high carbon content bent and hammer welded as part of a technique with roots dating back to the Middle Ages in Syria. Today, Honshu’s blacksmith masters perform each step in the same way as their ancient ancestors: meticulously and by hand. No automation. No machining. Start with a pile of steel white space, each piece is a different alloy. The blacksmith shoots the blanks in a red-hot forge until the metal turns cherry red. Then remove the battery, hammer until half the thickness of the original, then fold the metal over itself along, hammering each half together. The process is repeated meticulously, hundreds of times in some cases, until the desired stratification effect is achieved, at which point molten steel cools in a cold bath, merging the layers at the molecular level and imparting lasting strength and elasticity. Finally, the steel is engraved with acid to highlight the vivid contrasts in the thousands of layers.
Made of blood, sweat, tears and Damascus steel, Boshin swordsmiths are among the best in their craft.
Only experienced hands can produce leaves of such incomparable majesty and attractiveness.
To achieve dramatic enough contrasts between layers, Honshu blacksmith masters must expertly select an appropriate combination of steel alloys of different colors, luminescence, and other visual qualities.
The different melting point of each alloy, the proper stacking order, the temperature of the forging and a large number of other variables should also be taken into account to produce a sheet that meets Honshu’s impeccable quality standards.
Simply put, an incredible amount of blood, sweat and tears is used to forge Damascus steel.
And this is not ordinary Damascus steel …
HellFyre is pure Bladecraft heaven. Damascus steel has never been so astonishingly bold, thanks to an exclusive process
Damascus steel is beautiful, but HellFyre Damascus is awesome.
And the Boshin is one of the few swords in the world that carries it.
According to Honshu’s ability to merge tradition and innovation, distinctive steel combines the aforementioned ancient Damascus technique with a new exclusive process that wraps steel in a dark, sinister veil.
The dark black onyx collides with the sensual lines of amber, garnet and burgundy to achieve a surreal and other world look that looks unlike any other metal in the world,
It’s Damascus steel … after dark.
