    Description

    This Temari was handmade in 1980 in Okinawa, Japan.
    It was a gift given for a fond farewell and the wishing of a bright and happy life.
    It has been a cherished gift of remembrance of a loyal friend and co-worker.
    The intricate design is in embroidery thread over a very thin white thread which appears to be cotton.
    The design suggests a Christmas ornament, while the banding on the sides are of orange, teal, pink, purple and yellow threads.  A truly unique Temari ball.
    The size is about 4 inches.  Perfect to be held in a hand.
