Hopalong Cassidy Large Watch Unique Western Tooled English Band Made in England. OK, so why the shoes (new when bought) and my watch and chain??? I have never opened a watch. I started wearing vintage clothing back in 1965 wearing Navy issued WWII bell bottoms, a chambray shirt and pea-coat. From then on and up till now all I have worn is vintage. Mostly because the smaller sizes fit me then and still do. I have 1890s to 1969 clothes in my wardrobe. Suits, topcoats, jackets, shirts, slacks, shoes and accessories, including cuff-links and watches. I have been in the vintage biz all these years, having lived in Amsterdam selling there and in London. At one time while doing shows I had about 75 watches in and out, as stock. I always had a couple great repair guys. Most of my watches are gone as are my repair gentlemen. What I have left will also be sold. I bought this watch at the antique market along Portobello Rd in 1972, when I was living in Amsterdam, already buying and selling vintage denim and dead store stock from the 1920s-50s. It is in very good working condition, winds easily with very accurate time. Although
prefect time never bothered me since I never cared what time it was, only the way it looked. I would have killed any watch I would have opened so I didn't take the chance. Photos do a good job of describing its visual condition. Safest transit shipping is priority small box .45.
