Hanwei’s Shinto Light Katana features a hand-forged high carbon steel blade with Bo-Hi. The blade of this beautiful samurai sword was tempered differentially using a traditional clay method.
The core of the tsuka consists of two pieces of wood carved to fit perfectly into the spike. It is covered with two striped leather panels and wrapped with high quality woven cotton cord.
A finely rendered dragon with golden accents forms the black iron tsuba.
The saya of the sword has been built with hard wood and finished in a deep black lacquer with a black cotton sageo.
