In 1876, samurai were forbidden to carry their sword in public. This attempt to end a millennial tradition was not
accepted, and therefore the Palo-Katana was created. The revered blades were hidden by harmless canes, but the Katana persisted.
This Hanwei Bamboo Katana combines an ornately carved bamboo sword shear and mango with
a blade, which was hand-forged from 1065 carbon steel and hardened into the clay wedge in the traditional way.
The hardness of the avant-garde, as well as the strength of the leaf body, which is
embody the true secret of samurai courage.
