  • Condition: Single sleeve containing ten plates with lids, from an original case containing dozens of sleeves. An unopened sleeve is required to maintain sterility etc., and this one is clearly sealed. In fact it contains a fair volume of air and the plate stack can be unruly. Photographs that contain a metal ruler (not included) depict the detailed condition of the actual item for sale. Other images show a different sleeve that is somewhat less inflated and easier to photograph. All images are cropped but not otherwise altered.

    Description

    Stackable, square Petri dishes, radiation sterilized in sleeves of 10 polystyrene plates (dish+lid) apiece. Good for phage typing, probe assays, susceptibility testing, or plate counts. The sleeve containing these plates does not have a label on them like catalogue number 08-757-11A (Fisherbrand Square Disposable Petri Dish with Grid, discontinued by manufacturer but at this writing still up on their web site), but the plates inside are the same. The grids are 6 x 6 (13 mm square), labeled by letters on one direction and numbers on the other, to allow tracking of particular locations. Sleeves are about 4x4x7 in (plates with lids are 100x100x15mm each).
    This is an economical alternative to buying a case containing dozens of sleeves, whether for method development or if you just need a few.
