    F. Herder is one of the oldest and most respected cutlery brands in Germany and have a reputation for top quality steel that cuts very well and lasts a long time.
    Fully forged blades.
    Screw together construction.
    High quality heavy duty scissors made form best Solingen German steel. The blades are fully hot forged and are made thicker and heavier than modern scissors that are stamped from steel sheets.
    Blade and handle are individually forged from a single piece of steel and will never loosen or break apart. Handles have traditional black finish
    Top quality high carbon steel blades are not rust resistant but keep a sharp edge for a long time and can be professionally re-sharpened over and over again for many years.
    These are suitable for cutting thicker material and are more resistant to flexing and bending. The blades are held together with a large bolt and nut for very strong and durable construction. These are built to last a lifetime but due to the high cost, few German makers are offering such scissors today.
    This is a very old model and the blade stamping is simpler than on newer blades.
