Very Rare 1 of a kind  Early 1997 Handwritten Letter on rare Ultimate Fighting Alliance Fan club logo stationary  to a fan from UFC Founder Art Davie. The content is great. I have copied it word for word below. SEG era. Great piece from the early beginnings of the UFC pre Fertittas and Dana White. Imagine owning a piece from a founding father of one the other major sports from its early days !

Got your letter... I appreciate your support as a fan. You raised some good points about time limits.
weight classes, referee stoppages and alternates. Let me see if I can, In a short letter respond.  Weight classes and 4 man tournaments come about as a result of pressure from the managers and the fighters. They were complaining that it was too hard on a fighter to do 4 or 5 8 man tournaments in a year and the smaller fighters wanted a break from being matched up with the Colemans and Tanks ! We've been under a lot of political pressure. so McCarthy has been being extra careful if he feels a fighter can't defend himself. The alternate situation is not easily solved; all we can really do is have the alternate fight beforehand so they aren't any fresher than the man they replaced. Time limits are dictated by the 3 hour TV time block... they are planning to show more alternate bouts on tv ! Theres so much pressure to end the UFC from politicians busybodies and the media that we need everyone like you pulling for us.  Please stay a fan !
