Criterion telescope Dynascope reflector equatorial RV6 tube rings 1967 USA

$ 0.18

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

This auction is for a complete pair (you get both rings) of 1967 Criterion (USA) Dynascope RV6
hinged mounting rings. These will come with ALL the original hardware and even the felt.
Model size:  will hold most fiberglass or sonatube 6-inch reflector tubes
Inside diameter:  7.13-inches
Mounting stud:  #5/16-18
Materials:  cast aluminum, aluminum, brass, steel, bakelite knobs
Weight of each ring:  1 pound 11 ounces
I have used these rings to hold a few other RV6s, a Meade Starfinder 6, a Parks 6 rich field reflector, as well as 2 different eras of the Orion Deep Space Explorer 6.
You may or may not be able to mount tin or steel 6-inch reflector tubes in these rings because they are thinner than your standard sonatube or fiberglass resin reflector tubes of the past. But you can add extra loose pieces of felt or fabric to eliminate the gap safely.
The rings will mount to other reflector pedestal-style equatorial mounts like those of the Meade Starfinder and the 600 and 800 series mounts before them. These will fit to the RV-8 mount, ALL RV-6 mounts, and the smaller equatorial mounts by Cave, Parks, and Optical Craftsmen. Some Edmund mounts may work with these rings, but not if that mount uses the zip straps.
Getting hard to find these loose and this is a pair ready for immediate use in the field upon delivery.
Packed with great care. These rings WILL NOT fit in flat rate boxes; they are too wide
