Cold Steel created the Nightfall series, manufactured with the same level of quality and attention to detail as Cold Steel’s Japanese classics, but swaps San Mai for premium American CPM 3V super powder steel.
Each of these sturdy and reliable blades features a Kray-Ex ™ grip and a blade that is sharp with an incredibly sharp edge. They all come complete with a Secure-Ex®.
CPM 3V steel, although expensive, this modern tool steel is surprisingly resistant and exceptionally wear-resistant. It is a fine-grained powdered steel, with a very uniform microstructure that gives it excellent impact resistance and fine-edged clamping performance, making it perfectly suitable for larger blades where extreme hardness is required.
