Cold Steel - Improved Machete of 1917
Cold Steel - Improved Machete of 1917
With their deeply bleached blades and noble handles made of Malaysian salted wood, the models in the 1917 cold steel collection are absolutely unmistakable. These knives and are characterized by the same elegant lines and the same practical design.
The knives in the 1917 series are reminiscent of the spirit of adventure of yesteryear, either in the Wild West or in the world’s oceans. They are suitable for historical recreation groups starting in the 1830s, such as Western shooters, American Civil War reenactors and naval battles, and even for modern military groups.
This machete is an optimized version of 1917, it is identical in all respects to the original, with the exception of the cutting element made of strong steel sheet, which is much more efficient. It has numerous holes that save weight, have curved edges, making it much more resistant and provides even better protection for the hand without being bulky.
    Carbon steel 1055
The carbon content and relatively low proportions of other substances in this steel make it a very stable material free of the fragility inherent in most more carbon-rich steels. This steel is ideal for blades that are said to have high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed knives, machetes and swords.
