You can always choose to repaint your metal roof every 5-7 years with Calbar or some other similar product for /gallon but why would you want to do that.
I purchased to paint my metal roof and bought too much. Purchased direct from vendor OCT 2020 (3 year shelf life). I paid 0/5 gallon pail plus 0/pail for shipping (happy to provide a copy of my invoice). Offered here at a 25% discount as I bought too much. Vendor states covers 150 square feet/gallon but we found it covered 200-300 square feet (previously painted roof) which is why I have extra.
I absolutely love this product and expect it will outlive me. Check out their website it is used on everything from bridges to dams to oil rigs in salt water environment.

I just wish I had found this stuff years ago. I was tired of paying through the nose every 5-10 years to paint our historic metal roof and we had a water leak that two different roofers could not detect/fix. We painted with Rust-Grip, Now no leak! We top coated with Sherwin Williams enamel on the house and left as is silver on two other metal roofs. You are free to check out the results when you come to pick up.

DESCRIPTION
Rust Grip® is a tough, one-part, moisture-cure polyurethane coating that absorbs atmospheric moisture to her cure. Rust Grip® is loaded with a metallic pigment for strength and is also resistant to chemical solvents and acid splash. Upon curing, Rust Grip® provides a protective coating film of superior adhesion and flexibility, and is resistant to abrasion and impact. Rust Grip® can be used as a primer or as a one-coating system. It is patented to encapsulate lead-based paints and other toxic materials, including asbestos. Rust Grip® can be applied over pressure-washed, completely dry flash rust and firmly bonded commercial paints. In most cases, a white or near-white blasting is not required. A light to medium surface rust is preferred as the profile.
